School Meals

Since September 2014, all children in Reception and KS1 have been entitled to a free school meal. Parents and carers may opt out of receiving a free school meal and send a packed lunch with their child. School meals are provided in partnership with Warrington School Meals Service. Please find below the menu for this term.

The current price of a school dinner is £2.60 per day.  If you feel that your child(ren) may be eligible for free school meals, please inform the school.

School meals are paid for using ParentPay.  Once your child starts at Newchurch, the office will set up your account ready for you to add credit to it. Each morning, the children electronically select the meal of their choice.

Each day, the children receive a choice of two courses with a drink. This will include a protein item accompanied with potatoes, rice or pasta and fresh vegetables, a dessert and a drink.

All food is prepared on site using fresh ingredients and meets the government's standards for school food.

Any children with special dietary needs are catered for.  This includes: vegetarian, multi-cultural and special dietary items are included in our menu plans.

Any specific concerns or requests can be dealt with by contacting the school office who will liaise with the school catering team.

Bring a loved one to lunch

On one occasions in the school year, our Newchurch robins invite a loved one to join them for lunch.  This is an absolutely gorgeous event which is loved by all.  Don't worry if you can't make it, children whose parents need to work get to be Mrs Narraway's loved ones!
