Parent Responses to E Safety

Newchurch Community Primary School

E Safety Meeting Questionnaire

Spring Term 2017

The responses from all the questionnaires that we received were very positive and they all found the meeting very informative. The parents now feel that they now are aware of lots of apps that can help to keep their children safe online.  The parents appreciated the handouts

100% of Parents who came to the meeting would recommend this workshop to other parents.

Only 20% of our families were represented at this meeting, so we need to ensure that all parents receive the message of the importance of keeping their children safe online.

Through discussions with the parents who attended the meeting, we decided to add a slot on Friday news with top tips for parents regarding keeping their children safe online.

On the school Website there is an E-Safety Tab which has information, advice, websites and suggested apps for parents and children to use.

We have asked the children to complete a quick survey to show what apps and social media they are using at home.  In Key Stage 2 it showed that many of the children were using social media, even though they are under age.

We need to make all the parents aware of the importance of E-Safety, therefore we are going to write a letter to all parents to show the results of the survey we used in school.

We will hold another E-Safety talk where hopefully more parents will attend.
